Reminder \u2013 If any member has been notified by a family or friend that they are a close contact (COVID).\u00a0<\/b>PLEASE do not come to bowls until you have a negative test result.\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/em><\/p>\n

If all members could wear their name badges when playing on bowls days so as our new members and visitors alike can put faces to names.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Well,\u00a0I hope everybody enjoyed their Australia Day activities, Club Toowoomba held their Australia Day Pairs and whilst very\u00a0humid <\/b>was a great day with 16 teams enjoying the bowls and the friendship on the day (some of you anyway). <\/b><\/p>\n

Our social days have been <\/b>a tracking good numbers with both jackpots going off this year. The green is improving each time we play and with more <\/b>preparation should be coming up to speed over the next week or so. We will be inspecting the top green late next week and will <\/b>decide on whether it will be playable or how much longer it will be.<\/b><\/p>\n

Last Thursday members of our committee met with CT management to be given an update on the new facilities. Gave has again <\/b>committed to providing the new facilities and will be meeting with the contractors this week. He has given assurances that we will have a date and timeline for the construction by 5th Feb 24. This is something that our committee will be following up vigorously in <\/b>
\nthe coming week.<\/b><\/p>\n

Members are reminded that the new membership cards are available at the Club and diaries available for the Bowls Committee.<\/b><\/p>\n

2024 Representative Events<\/b>
\nQ7s <\/b>
\n3rd Feb 24 with Div 5 at home to Drayton and Div 6 away to Salisbury (White).<\/b>
\nThe teams are on the notice board. Players are reminded that there is a sheet on the board where you can indicate your availability <\/b>for the season, please also make sure you inform your manager of any issues as well.<\/b>

RDO Challenge Cup<\/b>
\nThe 2024 Challenge Cup is set down to commence on the 23 March 24 at Toowoomba BC. We are still looking for players, <\/b>we require a minimum of 12 players to be able to fulfil our commitment.<\/b>
\nMembers are requested to place their names on the sheet to indicate that they want to represent STBC in this event NLT 29 Feb <\/b>24. Cost per player to be raised to $20:00 (There has been no cost increase since 2012)<\/b><\/p>\n

The next 1st Sunday of the month will be 4th Feb 24, 12-30pm start, Jackpot Pairs – with prize money of $250. <\/b>Jackpot recommences at $92 + <\/b>Please place names on nomination sheets on notice board. Players are reminded that if you have put your name down as a spare <\/b>that the organisers will only call if they cannot get you a game. So please turn up. <\/b>Also, if you are asked to put someone\u2019s name down for a spare and they are not a member of our Club please ensure that a <\/b>phone number is also placed on the sheet for that person.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
